Students who are interested in joining the Moody Blue Knights Chess Club should pick up a registration form in the front office.
If you are participating in track, you need to see Coach Waller in Coach Parker’s classroom on Wednesday after to turn in your forms and money.
The Moody Youth Association will be conducting registration for teeball (3/4 boys & girls), 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 & 13/14 baseball, and 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U & 16U softball on February 1. All registrations will be held at Moody City Hall from 8am-12pm. Baseball and Softball Camp will be held on January 24 & 25. Camp is free and held at Moody ballpark. Girls Incorporated is hosting an entrepreneurship workshop called Girls in Charge for girls in grades 6-8. Girls in Charge is a special program that provides exposure to role models and experiences critical to encouraging girls to consider the possibility of entrepreneurship as a career path. The program fine tunes leadership skills. Sessions will be offered on February 22 and March 8 from 9am-1pm (students should attend only 1 session). Pre-registration is required and space is limited. All students interested in trying out for a Moody Band Auxiliary unit, including color guard, majorette, or dance line, must attend a mandatory pre-tryout meeting with a parent or guardian present on Thursday, January 30th at 6:30 pm in the band room to be eligible to participate in tryouts.
Students are invited to join an optional winter camp to learn dance line, color guard, and majorette basics at Diamonds & Twirls Winter Camp. The dates of the camp are February, 4, 11, 18 & 25 from 3:15-5pm–attend one or attend all. Information and application forms are available in the school office.
